AmsterdamWhen you have one free day in Amsterdam, you can consider to spend you time exploring the Amsterdam Old Center. To explore the Old Center, a good starting point will the The Dam. You can then finish off the tour at the Centraal Station.

Explore the Amsterdam Old Center by foot will probably take you about 4 hours to complete.  However, if you spend more time in museums, cafes etc, it could be longer. Amsterdam city is considered s Europe’s gay-friendliest city.

The Amsterdam Gay Pride is a big event in Europe. There are boat parade, street discos, open-air theater performances, a sports program, and a film festival.

Grachten Festival. If you are a classical music lover, this is a festival you will enjoy. This is a 5-day classical music festival.  Each year, there is a different theme. This year the 10th year of the Grachten Festival. This anniversary celebration will be held at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. 

 Prinsengracht Concert. The Prinsengracht Concert will be played on a pontoon in front of the Hotel Pulitzer.  You will see crowds come in by boat, by bike and on foot jamming up the canal and both banks of the canal.
