Machu Picchu – Machu Picchu was brought to the attention of the international community in 1911 by archaeologist Hiram Bingham . Machu Pichu is located in Peru and above the Urubamba Valley which is about 70km north-west of Cuzco. Machu Picchu measured some 2700 miles (4300 km) from end to end. This is a pre-Columbia city created by the Incas.

The Inca warriors of 15th century Peru built this mysterious Machu Picchu that incorporated some 10 million people. The Inca empire had a road network that ran along the length and it crosses some of the world’s most hostile terrain in the heart of the great mountain range of the Andes. Take a look at this wonderful and mysterious Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu had agriculture terraces, stairways and water channels craved directly from the rock. This whole setting seemed like it grew out organically from its ridge.

Machu Picchu stone building works was amazing astonishing whereby huge blocks of stone were joined together without mortal. Believe it or not, a knife blade cannot even be slipped between the stone blocks. Amazing :)

Machu Picchu building has unique trapezoidal doors and windows. It has a central plaza, royal palace and sun temple. If you have any opportunity, it is worth a visit to Machu Picchu.
