Glasgow Cathedral. Glasgow Cathedral was the fist building I visited when I start my
exploration of the City of Glasgow. This was the first time I have seen a cathedral. The Glasgow Cathedral is one of the oldest and most historic sites in the City of Glasgow. It has been in continuous use since completion and you can still see the original roof timbers. In addition, it has a unique choir screen with exceptional stained glass. No doubt about it, it has impressed me.

It consists of a sandstone museum and a huge glass conservatory (Winter Garden). As you might guess, based on the name of the museum, this is a museum of ordinary life showing how the average family lived, worked and played in the past. As it turns out, this will be a good place to learn about the life of the Glaswegian. Next, visit the House for an Art Lover at Bellahouston Park. This house is designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. And what’s more, it provides an excellent resource for visitors as a cultural attraction and it has exclusive private dining venue as well

Glasgow shopping. Major shopping grounds the City of Glasgow are Sauchiehall Street, Argyle Streetm Buchanan Streetm Price Square, St-Enoch Chopping Center, Italian Shopping center, etc. among others. You know what? Apart from the chic shopping, I also enjoy the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) market at The Barras. The Barras market is century-old and has some 800 traders selling all kinds of things. Believe it or not, browsing through the specialty is a real therapy and the buskers really liven up the atmosphere. In addition to that, if you want to have a taste of old-fashioned slice of Glaswegian street vending, remember to visit the Paddy’s Market located by the trail arches on Shipbank Lane.
